Is the “hype” true ?!

Machu Picchu

The answer is a loud, YES.

Machu Picchu is a must see.  If you enjoy hiking, nature, or breathtaking views and have enough time, the 5 day Inca Trail hike (there’s a shorter version as well) is beautiful and worth your time!

**Bonus: If you’d like to get a “picture perfect” photo of Machu Picchu I’d recommend taking the quick 1-2 hour hike up WAYNA PICCHU.  This takes some planning in advanced with only a few hundred people allowed to climb Wayna Picchu per day.

Back of me

Looks like a puzzle piece, what do you think?

**Bonus: You may run into some Alpacas!!

Me & the Inca Trail, amazing memories.

Some more of the Inca Trail, just beautiful.  My photograph does not even do it justice.

  1. I agree!

  2. Wow – it looks fantastic. I am hoping to do the Inca Trail next year. I can’t wait!!!

    • It was fantastic! Some of the most beautiful views. If you’re looking to do the Inca Trail next year I would suggest booking it in advanced! (Especially for the Summer!) If you ever need suggestions for travel agencies please let me know. Although I was only in Peru for one month, I was at Machu Picchu three different times, each with a different agency!

My husband and I would like to hike the Inca trail and Wayna Picchu. What agency would you recommend?

  3. I’ve travelled to Peru almost a year ago already, and just thinking about it still takes my breath away. I did one post a while back to try to describe being at Machu Picchu, but it’s so hard to truly capture the beauty and feels. Thanks for this post! I hope to go back one day and take the Inca Trail from Cuzco to Machu Picchu.

    • I could not agree with you more, it’s hard to capture/describe how beautiful it is! I would recommend taking the Inca Trail! It’s quiet with the regulations of persons per day, and the views are out of this world. By any chance did you get a chance to hike Wayna Picchu? (If not, I’d recommend that also, it’s steep, but worth it!)

  4. Your Photographs are so lovely…
    you also looks so charming….

  5. Great blogs Arianna!! and thanks for your “likes” I am working right now in culinary trips to Peru and Argentina. I will keep you posted. Your opinion count! Hugs!

  1. […] Yesterday I found a beautiful travel blog Travel Time Talk by a Travellie, Arianna Levy. She is a young college student and am eager to travel the world. Find more pictures of Arianna’s Machu Picchu and Peru Adventures here. […]
