Where can you learn to make coffee, and swim in a remote oasis?!

coffee making

Moshi, Tanzania!!  I have experienced both of these tours, and I’d be lying to you if I had a favorite.  They were both unique and amazing experiences in their own way.

Coffee tour:  You pick the berries, crush, peel, and roast them.  Not only are you educated on the coffee making process and history, but you can experience actually MAKING THE COFFEE.  (Rather than just being lectured on the process.)  At the end you are offered some of the fresh home grown coffee.  (It is delicious!)

**Bonus: After you’ve made the coffee there’s an option to hike down to a beautiful waterfall, I’d highly suggest it!!

Maji moto

Maji Moto: A natural hot spring amongst the Tanzanian desert.  The crystal clear, warm water, and beautiful trees surrounding this oasis is appealing in itself.

**Bonus: If you are not afraid of heights, you can climb up some of these trees and jump in!!

How can you experience these excursions?

There are A LOT of touring companies in Moshi, Tanzania.  Below I’ve listed the two companies I used for most of my excursions, and the third was referred by a friend.  (Both were VERY accommodating, I have nothing but excellent reviews!!!  If you have any further questions feel free to ask!!  Side note: I also hiked Mt. Meru, and Mt. Kilimanjaro while I was in Tanzania with these companies.)
