Machu Picchu on a rainy day!

*Tip for anyone looking to climb Wayna Picchu, BUY YOUR TICKET in advanced, there is a limited number of persons allowed to hike Wayna Picchu a day!  The views are beautiful and worth the 2 hours hike.  Unfortunately, I am unable to share pictures with you because when I was hiking Wayna Picchu there was heavy rainfall so I was unable to get photographs of the beautiful views!

  7. What wonderful photos! It’s a been a dream of mine since I was a little kid to hike the inca trail and get to Machu Picchu. I think it may be time to make that dream a reality. Thanks for the inspiration!

  8. Beautiful! Machu PIcchu is at the top of my bucket list… your gorgeous photos just gave me a good dose of armchair travel and some serious trip envy 🙂

  9. Thanks for sharing the beautiful photos and can see from your smile that you really enjoyed yourself.
I am travelling there next year with my son – what time of the year were you there?

    • Hi Rita! I was at Machu Picchu 3 times- all between mid-July to mid-August. It rained once, and was difficult to see the views like I did on the sunny days, but it was still beautiful. Bring a poncho just incase! Also, if you are not hiking up to Machu Picchu from Aguas Calientes (or not going by Inca Trail) catch the earliest bus up, that way you’ll beat some of the crowd and see the beautiful sunrise. I think the Summer months are the best time of year to go because it’s the lowest percentage of rain!

  10. Incredible pictures ,fascinating history.jalal
