Costa Maya

My name is Arianna “Travellie” Elise,

I want to share my passion for travel with you, in hopes that it inspires you to think outside the box when travelling, planning a trip, or simply just to give you some new ideas!

  1. I like the hat that guy in the Kayk is wearing

  2. Alexander Levy says:

The world is so huge so how do you choose where to travel next?

    • Right now I’m focusing more on spanish speaking countries, as I am trying to be fluent in the language, but typically I base it off of a few things. A few being, the amount of time I will be abroad, cost, ability to connect with the culture, and traditions (that’s very important to me if I’m staying there for a while), excursions that are offered, etc. Overall, I think traveling anywhere is an opportunity, and a chance to develop as a person, and learn/see something new. It’s so exciting!

  3. Thanks for visiting my blog, keep on keeping on

  4. Love your blog! Short and sweet and amazing pictures too! If your travels to Mexico next year take you to the Yucatan (and they should because it is an amazingly diverse area-culture, history, natural beauty) stop by and visit us in Progreso. World class wind surfing, ceanotes, and caves. You would love it.

    • Thank you luluandthemoon! If travels take me to the Yucatan (and I hope they do) I will absolutely stop by and visit in Progreso! You’re explanation of the area sounds like a PERFECT fit for me!!

  5. Love the blog! i have been in Rome for four months now. Your blog makes me want to go to so many more places! I just wish I had this much time to spend in every place. Keep posting!

    • Thank you amkimberlin!! (means so much) You’ve been in Rome for four months?! I’m so jealous!

      • Yep! Study abroad program for architecture school. It is awesome! I have gotten to go to Florence, Sorrento, Capri, Anacapri, Amalfi, Naples, Ostia Antica, Orvieto, Bagnaia, Caprarola, Siena, Pompeii, and Tivoli. I have posts on some of them. I still have a lot of catching up to do though.

  26. Hi Arianna! Thanks for liking my Italy post! Reading your about page was so fun because I wasn’t expecting us to have so much in common, but it was great to see! a) WOW I love cheese so much I pretty much make fondue once a month. One of my biggest fears in life is becoming lactose intolerant and never being able to eat cheese again. b) I’m not sure how I would survive the world without listening to the radio in the morning. It’s the first thing I do when i wake up 🙂 I can’t wait to read about your trip to Italy and learn more for my upcoming trip!

    • Hey Alejandra! Thank you for popping by as well! I hope you enjoy my other posts!! If you have any questions about Italy feel free to ask, I didn’t post many photos, I traveled Northern and Central Italy if that helps!!

Travel is always an adventure. It is really unfortunate that more people do not do it. Life is too short!

  34. Where do you plan on going to in Mexico? I’ve been living in Mexico City for 2 years now, it’s a fantastic country. Hope you have a great time when you make it here!!

    • Hi Will!

Cozumel, and Costa Maya; the very touristy areas. I’d like to return and visit areas inland as well, do you have any recommendations?

      • Chiapas is beautiful – there’s some huge myan ruins in palenque, oaxaca city is cool too, and of course MEXICO CITY is where it’s at!

  35. You will love Tikal in Guatemala…and Belieze is so natural and unspoiled like Mexico. Great blog and pictures…loved the camel rides….namaste. . .Anne

    • Thank you!! Any places you’d recommend to visit in Guatemala??

      • I was there only for one day. I was in Belize and took a bus trip to Tikal, which is an amazing site. 100,000 Mayans lived there. We had to walk for 20minutes through the most amazing jungle to arrive at Tikal. Saw a panther sleeping on a high branch. I wanted to see Guatemala City which looks amazing but it was far away and had no time.
